What is ENS Explorer Alpha?
ENS Explorer is one of two new apps designed for different audiences - the ENS App is for newcomers and everyday users, while the ENS Explorer is for developers and builders. Both are currently in Alpha on Sepolia Testnet.
Can I make name changes in ENS Explorer?
Some actions may be available, while others are still in development.
Do I need Sepolia ETH?
Yes. The ENSv2 Sepolia testnet contracts are deployed on Ethereum Sepolia.
Where can I check wallet addresses and profile details?
Go to Records to view the addresses and other information linked to a name.
What are Roles?
Roles are permissions granted to specific wallet addresses, allowing them to manage certain aspects of a name without owning it. Some role permissions are not available yet.
Do I need to Deploy Registry?
To create subnames, you’ll need to deploy registry. You can use the default one provided by ENS. Some users with their own requirements may deploy their own custom registry.
How can i view and create subnames?
The Subnames page lists all subnbames under a parent name and who controls them. From this page you can create subnames.
Why can’t I edit a name?
You must connect a wallet with the appropriate permissions. Typically this is: The Owner, or An address assigned a Role.
What features are coming later?
DNS imports, and ownership and permissions changes are still in development.
