ENS App and Explorer are on the Sepolia testnet. Features may change before mainnet.
You need a wallet to make changes, such as registering, renewing or editing records. Looking up names doesn't need one. Using ENS Explorer? See In ENS Explorer below.
In the ENS App
Go to sepolia.app.ens.domains and select Connect in the top right.
Pick your wallet and approve the connection.
When Verify your wallet shows, select Sign in with Wallet and sign the message. This is a Sign-In with Ethereum request: free, and it proves you own the wallet.
When the app asks, select Enable Sessions and sign in your wallet. This is free. Revoke smart sessions then shows in your account menu. You need Smart Sessions on to register or renew in the ENS App.
In ENS Explorer
On the home page, select Connect wallet under the search bar. On other pages, select Connect at the bottom of the sidebar.
Choose your wallet and approve the connection.
Once connected, the home page lists Your names with your primary name, and edit options appear on names you own.
Common questions
Does connecting cost anything?
No. Connecting is free, and so is signing in.
How do I disconnect?
In the ENS App, open your account menu and select Disconnect. This also resets Smart Sessions, so the prompt appears again next time. To turn Smart Sessions off without disconnecting, select Revoke smart sessions in the same menu and sign in your wallet. In ENS Explorer, select your address at the bottom of the sidebar, then Disconnect. Disconnecting in ENS Explorer doesn't touch your wallet app itself.
How do I switch to a different account?
Switch the account inside your wallet app. Most wallets tell connected sites straight away. If the page doesn't update, disconnect and connect again.
How do I switch to a different wallet app?
Disconnect first. If the new wallet is a browser extension, disable or log out of the old one so its prompt doesn't get in the way. Then connect and pick the new wallet.
Why do I see my address, not my name?
Your address shows until you set a primary name.
Why does my wallet still ask me to sign in the ENS App?
To turn on Smart Sessions, and for Sign-In with Ethereum, which notifications need. Payments, renewals and record changes also ask you to approve in your wallet, with Smart Sessions on.
