How do I connect my wallet to ENS Explorer?

Connect a wallet to ENS Explorer on Sepolia so you can register, extend, edit records and set a primary name.

Note: The ENS App and ENS Explorer are both currently on Sepolia testnet. Behaviour and available features may change before mainnet.

You only need a wallet when you want to change something — registering, extending, editing records, setting a primary name. Browsing never requires one.

Connecting

  1. Click the wallet button in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.

  2. Choose your wallet and approve the connection in the wallet's own prompt.

  3. Once connected, the button shows your address, and edit options appear on names you own.

Make sure your wallet is set to Sepolia testnet — Explorer runs on Sepolia.

Common questions

Explorer shows my address, not my name — why?

Your address is shown until you set a primary name.

Does connecting cost anything?

No. Connecting is free; only transactions (register, extend, save changes) cost gas — the network fee for writing a change on-chain.

How do I disconnect my wallet?

Click your address in the bottom-left corner to open the wallet menu, then choose Disconnect. Explorer ends the session straight away — the edit options on your names disappear until you reconnect. Disconnecting in Explorer doesn't touch your wallet app itself; it only ends this site's session.

How do I switch to a different account in the same wallet?

Switch the active account inside your wallet app. Most wallets tell connected sites automatically, and Explorer updates to show the new address. If it doesn't update, choose Disconnect and connect again — the connection prompt picks up whichever account is currently active.

How do I switch to a different wallet app entirely?

Disconnect from Explorer first. If the new wallet is a browser extension, disable or log out of the old one so its prompt doesn't intercept the connection. Then click the wallet button, pick the new wallet from the list, and approve the connection in that wallet's prompt.
