Search is the front door to everything in Explorer. Use the search box on the home page, the one at the top of the sidebar, or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) anywhere.
What you can type
A name —
yourname.eth, or justyourname. Typing a bare label shows suggestions for several endings (.eth first, then others such as .xyz and .com); pick the one you want.An address — paste a full Ethereum address (0x…) and choose View address details to open its address page.
What happens next
A registered name opens its name page — records, ownership, history and more.
An unregistered .eth name shows "Available to register", with a Register button right in the suggestions. See how to register a .eth name.
An address opens the address page — the names it owns, what it resolves to, and its primary name setup.
Common questions
Can I open an address page by typing the address in the URL?
Not directly — go through search, which takes you to the right page.
Can I search for DNS names like .com?
They appear in the suggestions, but most open to "Name not found" — Explorer's registration and management flows are for .eth names.
