Stablecoins are tokens tied to a fixed price, usually one US dollar. Pay with one and the cost you see at checkout is the cost you pay, whatever ETH is doing that day. The app supports USDC and USDT. You still need a little ETH for gas.
Why pay with a stablecoin
If ETH's price is moving, a stablecoin locks in the dollar cost shown on screen. No slippage, no surprise at confirmation.
You still need ETH
The name is paid for in your stablecoin. Gas is paid in ETH. A few dollars' worth is usually enough.
Common questions
Can I pay with a credit or debit card?
Not yet. Card payment is on the way but isn't ready, and may not arrive until after mainnet. There's no firm date. For now you pay with crypto from your connected wallet — connect a wallet in the ENS App and the checkout shows the network fee and the name's price before you confirm.

USDC and USDT.
