What is an ENS profile?
Your ENS profile stores the records dApps read to display who yourname.eth is — avatar, social handles, the wallets you receive funds at on different chains. Set it once and dApps that read ENS show the new values in real time.
What you can add
Avatar and Header — profile picture and banner shown across Web3 apps.
Bio - Add a bio to your profile
Contact information - Add your contact details so people can reach you
Social links - Add your social media profiles to your profile
Links - Add links to your profile
Wallet addresses — wallet addresses for 100+ chains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism. Funds sent to your name on those chains route to the address you set here.
Other records:
Decentralised website — link a site hosted on IPFS, Arweave, or other decentralised storage via the contenthash record.
Custom records — anything else, via service keys
How do I edit my profile records?
1. Open the editor
Go to any name you own and click Edit Profile.
2. Add, change or remove records
Manage your records directly on the page, across the Bio, Contact information, Social links, Links, Other records, and Addresses sections.
Click a
+chip to add a value. A box appears to type in, and the chip turns to−. Click−to remove it.Social links: click the platform's chip — for example
+ X (Twitter)— and an inline input opens. Type your handle without the @; it's added automatically when your profile is displayed. Twelve platforms are available: X (Twitter), Telegram, Farcaster, Instagram, Discord, GitHub, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, Twitch and Mastodon. For anything else, add it under Links as a name + URL pair.Links: click

+ Add More, tick the chain in the pop-up, clickAdd, then type the address in each row.
3. Set an avatar or banner
Click on the avatar square or banner area at the top. Hover to see the change prompt — they're clickable but not labelled as buttons.
4. Pick a theme colour
Four options on the right: blue, pink, green, black. Sets the colour accent on your profile page — including the social-link pills shown on your public profile.
5. Save Changes, Review and confirm
When you're done, click Save Changes at the bottom right. A pop-up lists what you've changed — review it and confirm.
Smart Sessions signs the transaction in the background, so you won't need to approve anything. If it's switched off, you'll confirm in your wallet instead.
FAQ
What format should my records be in?
The app guides you to the right format as you type.
Why doesn't the social-links input show the @ prefix?
Because the prefix is added when your profile is displayed, not stored. Type the bare handle (like myhandle) and your public profile renders it as @myhandle. Adding the @ yourself can double it up.
Will my social pills use my theme colour?
Yes — the social-link pills on your public profile take the theme colour you pick in the editor, for every visitor. If you change the theme later and re-save, the pill colour updates too.
What happens if I press Reset Changes?
It undoes everything you've changed — chips snap back, the theme reverts, and Save Changes greys out. It's instant and needs no signature, because nothing has gone on-chain yet.
Why isn't my wallet popping up to confirm?
Smart Sessions signs each edit for you, so you won't see a wallet prompt. Your Smart Account is set up the first time you connect, and from then on it signs every ENS action, including profile edits.
